The Cranston Arts Commission (CAC) invites you to apply to transform utility boxes into inspiring works of art. Six artists/groups will be selected to paint utility boxes across the city, and receive a cash prize of $600.

The goal of this project is to unify the city by exploring and uplifting its artistic community, and to beautify otherwise unremarkable structures.

The CAC will vote on submissions based on the following criteria:

The Cranston Arts Commission will vote on proposals, and selected artists will receive a formal offer letter. $300 will be paid by check upon acceptance of the CAC offer letter, with the remaining $300 to be paid at the completion of the project.

Winners will be invited to speak at a gallery night at Cranston Central Library during the month of September, to speak on their work and network with other artists and community members. Participation in this event is not required but is encouraged!
